P2P wagering platform Slips adds AI-powered prediction markets

Peer-to-peer wagering platform Slips has unveiled AI-powered prediction markets as an extension of its existing suite of games.

Slips is betting that AI-generated prediction markets, combined with a strong social layer, will set it apart from both traditional sportsbooks and other peer-to-peer betting operators.

The company confirmed that its AI-generated contests will build upon formats already offered, including Heads Up, Pools, and its tournament-style “Tourlays.”

Since launching, Slips has attracted more than 150,000 users, known as “Slippers,” who have collectively won over $6m according to the company.

Unlike traditional sportsbooks, the platform operates as a “no house” marketplace where players wager directly against one another.

Its social gaming features such as leaderboards, community chat, and shared pools, are designed to encourage interaction and repeat play.

The addition of AI allows the platform to create new markets without requiring manual setup.

Slips Founder and CEO Jess Richman said: “Prediction markets are the natural evolution of peer-to-peer gaming, and AI is the engine that makes it limitless. By removing the house, empowering our users, and tapping into generative AI, we’re creating the world’s most dynamic, scalable, and social real-money betting experience.”

According to the company, these will soon expand into futures, commodities, and political outcomes, with AI tools responsible for tracking data, generating contests, and settling wagers.

The aim is to deliver a steady flow of fresh betting opportunities, a strategy Slips believes will bolster engagement in an increasingly competitive prediction market sector.

Peer-to-peer betting on the up

Slips’ move comes amid wider growth in peer-to-peer wagering and prediction exchanges.

Operators like Novig have gained traction by focusing on sports betting within a sweepstakes model, offering tokens that can be redeemed for cash prizes.

Slips, however, has opted for a direct real-money format across multiple verticals, from sports and finance to pop culture and politics.

The contrast highlights the diversity of business models emerging in the prediction market and peer-to-peer betting spaces.

The integration of AI into betting and prediction platforms is not unique to Slips. In June, Kalshi partnered with Elon Musk’s xAI to bring Grok, the chatbot embedded in Musk’s X platform, into its yes/no derivatives trading.

Some industry insiders have suggested that AI could alleviate bottlenecks around market creation and settlement, while also enabling platforms to scale rapidly and react to emerging events.

Investor interest has followed this momentum. Venture backers of Slips include Sunset Bay Capital, Trousdale Ventures, and Watertower Ventures, according to PitchBook.

The company has also drawn support from professional poker player Jason Mercier, a six-time World Series of Poker champion.
